PROF. DANIELE MANFREDINI
Dentist, MSc, PhD, he is Associate Professor for scientific merit, Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Padova, Italy, teaching “Pathophysiology and protheses for TMD” and “Gnathology of Parfunctions and Bruxism”.
He is also Professor of Oral Surgery at the University of Siena.
Prof. Manfredini authored more than 130 papers in the field of bruxism and temporomandibular disorders in peer-reviewed journals in the Medline database.
He edited the book “Current concepts on temporomandibular disorders” (Quintessence Publishing, 2010), including contributions from 45 world-renowned experts and also “Bruxism: theory and practice” (Quintessence Publishing, 2010), “Orofacial Pain” (IASP Press, 2014), “Orthodontics and TMD” (Springer, 2015).
Based on publication ratings, since november 2013, the US agency Expertscape has ranked Dr. Manfredini as world #1 expert in the field of temporomandibular joint disorders, and #3 in the field of bruxism.

PROF. CESAR FERNANDEZ DE LAS PENAS
Physiotherapist, Osteopath, MsC, PhD, Director of the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation and Physical medicine at University rey Juan Carlos de madrid, Spain.
Prof. de las Penas is the Dean of a pain sciences research group with collaborations from USA, Spain, Denmark, UK, Australia.
He works in the university pain clinic focused on manual approaches to the management of chronic pain. His research activities are on neuroscientific aspects of upper quadrant pain syndromes, particularly head and neck pain conditions.
He has published more than 300 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and he is the first author of approximately 150 of them.
He is also editor of several textbooks on headahces, migraine, tension type headache, cervicogenic headache, manual therapy, dry needling. His last book is “Temporomandibular Disorders – Manual Therapy, exercise and needling”, Handspring 2018. He has been invited to present at 50 international conferences.

PROF. CLAUDIA MARIA DE FELICIO
Logopedist and Speech Therapist, MSc, PhD, she is Associate Professor, Departamento de Oftalmologia, Otorrinolaringologia e Cirurgia da Cabeça e Pescoço (Ribeirão Preto), University of São Paulo.
Cláudia Maria does research in Speech and Language Pathology, Clinical Trials and Rehabilitation for TMD and orofacial pain, sleep disorders and Sjögren syndrome.
She is the author than 80 scientific papers on this field and 7 books.

PROF. HARRY VON PIEKARTZ
Physiotherapist, MSc, PhD, Professor in Physiotherapy at the University of Applied Science in Osnabrück, Germany and Director of Master of Science in Musculoskeletal Therapy.
He is the president of Cranial Facial Therapy Academy, Senior Lecturer in Manual Therapy Education Maitland Concept and teacher for the international NOI Group.
He is the author of the book “Craniofacial Pain, a Guideline for Neuromusculoskeletal Assessement and Management.“ (Elsevier 2007).
He has published various scientific articles about TMD, neurodynamics, headaches. His special interests are management of problems in the craniocervical; craniomandibular and craniofacial region; treatment of children with neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions; early onset of therapy for children with craniocervical and craniofacial dysfunctions and pain; function of the (cranial) nervous system and the role of physiotherapy in this field; rehabilitation programs and pain management for long term pain poblems in the neuromusculoskeletal system.

PROF. PETER SVENSSON
Dentist, PhD, Doctor of Odontology, Visiting Professor for University of Michigan, University of Adelaide, University of British Columbia, University of Sydney. Professor and chairman of Department of Clinical Oral Physiology 2001. He was appointed clinical consultant at the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Aarhus University Hospital
in 2002 and consultant at the Danish Headache Center, University of Copenhagen in 2005. He was appointed honorary adjunct professor at Aalborg University from 2005- 2010, Adjunct professor at the Center for Functionally Integrative Neuroscience 2009- 2012 and visiting professor and honorary director of Sino-Denmark Orofacial Pain and TMD Research Center at Nanjing Medical University 2011-2014. He was Knighted by Queen Ridder af Dannebrog 2011.
His research has focused on orofacial pain mechanisms, trigeminal physiology, brain imaging and temporomandibular disorders. He was awarded the Codan Young Investigator Research Prize in 1995, the Strathmann Research Award in 1998 and the Zendium-Hoogendoorn Award in 2000, Bagger-Soerensen Grant 2004, and Ingeborg and Leo Dannin Award 2012.
He is an editorial board member and reviewer for several international dental and neuroscience journals including Pain and the Journal of Orofacial Pain. He is Editor-in- Chief of Journal of Oral Rehabilitation (2004-present) and Co-editor of the Textbook on Clinical Oral Physiology, Quintessence 2004. He has supervised many Ph.D projects, and is Past-president of the Special Interest Group on Orofacial Pain, International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) (2008-2010), President of the International Consortium of Research Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (RDC/TMD), and the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) (2010-2012).

PROF. PIERO CASCONE
Associate Professor of Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Rome Sapienza and Chief of the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit of the Policlinico Umberto I of Rome.
He is the Italian Councilor of the IAOMS (International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons), founder and past president of the ESTMJS (European Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons) and an international member of the American Society of Temporomandibolar Joint Surgeons (ASTMJS).
Its clinical and research activity embraces the most complex problems about TMJ pathologies and about cranio-maxillofacial congenital malformations, traumas or traumatic outcomes.
He is author and co-author of more than 160 international publications including scientific articles and monographs, 3 books and 7 book chapters.

PROF. SA. Susan Armijo Olivo
She is a Principal Research Lead at the Institute Health Economics of Alberta.
She possesses a BSc in Physical therapy (PT) from the Pontifical University Catholic of Chile (1999), a MSc PT (2005) and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences (2010) from the University of Alberta.
She is currently an adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta. Her major field of research is diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal pain along with physical therapy evidence based practice. She is author of 103 articles.

PROF. Marco Testa
Physiotherapist and osteopath, he is the president of the Master in Rehabilitation of Musculoskeletal Disorders of the University of Genoa. Since 2011 he is scientific collaborator of the Department of Experimental Anatomy of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and collaborates with the Neuroscience Section of the Institute of Human Physiology of the University of Turin in the study of mandibular motor control.
In 1997 he founded, together with 7 colleagues, the Italian Group of Manual Therapy (GTM), and he is a founding member of the Italian Society of Physiotherapy. He is the only Italian member of the International Advisory Board of the journal Manual Therapy Journal.

She is a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP), PhD, Master in Communication Disorders, PhD, President of the SLP Department of the Brazilian Society of Sleep (ABSono), Professor at the Post Graduation Program in SLP at the Pontíficia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and Director of the SLP Rehabilitation Clinic.
She is currently Coordinator of the Speech and Hearing Therapy Commission of the Respiratory Department of the Brazilian Sleep Association (ABSono). He works in the Speech-Language Pathology area, mainly in Orofacial Motricity, in clinical care for patients, referring to speech-language assessment and rehabilitation of swallowing disorders, speech, breathing, chewing. Author of scientific articles, books, and book chapters.

Physioterapist and osteopath, he has having a Doctorate from the Faculty of Biosanitary Sciences of the Francisco de Vitoria University with a research about mechanical effect of cranial maneuvers.
He is Co-Director of the Osteopathy School FORMACION BELGA ESPAÑOLA DE OSTEOPATIA S.L. (FBEO) since 2007. Coordinator and direction of the Cranial area, Neurology and Postural System.
